# 47 – W & J Holden Special
The car was purchased from Jack Porritt in May 1969 by Warwick and John Barrett who completely rebuilt it for the 1970 season changing the number to # 47. It was stripped and rebuilt at the end of that season and fitted with McGee fuel injection and a Halibrand quick-change diff.
In 1972 the car was sold to Ross Hammond who raced it as # 17 at the Liverpool Speedway. When the car was involved in a big accident on the asphalt track in 1974 its racing days were over.
